Subject: Re:Day 5 vs day 6 blast?
What was crappy about them? their grade or how they survived the thaw? my day 6 blast is a 4BB, but it was thawed to biopsy it, to test if it was genetically normal, and when they thawed it, they told me 80% cells survived the thaw and then it was refrozen. so it's a pretty good grade (4BB is a nice grade, I think) but it seems to have lost some cells on thawing, so even if it thaws perfectly a second time, ... but it was CGH normal upon testing.

Your blasts from day six were not blasts yet on day five you mean?

Both my kids are day 6 blasts. Day 5 didn't take.

I don't know that there's a "rule" that will be helpful OP. Everyone's experience is so individual.
I will tell you that for me the only ones that worked were my day 6 blasts, and they were graded lower than others we implanted.
Go figure.
Good luck!

Do you go with which one has the better grade or is day five preferable
