Totally different. See, you need to assume all men are about sex and sex only. Then from that group, come the men who will take sex however they can get it. And from that group you need to take the men who will involve children too. So going back to the "all men care only about sex" it is safe to assume that any man who wants to get involved on close level of children is part of that pedophile group. Otherwise why would any man have an interest in that? It's traditionally a woman's job. Didn't you know that gender inclusion only applies to women but it's still totally ok to have gross stereotypes of men?

You have serious issues, first assuming all men are sexual perverts, second assuming a woman couldn't be that way. You are wrong on both counts and your ignorance makes me feel sorry for you.

My son had a male preschool teacher for two years. I don't think there was any official policy, but he kept the bathroom door slightly open if he was helping a child with toileting. I think he just knew people might have concerns.

He was great. My son gravitated toward him and it was so nice to have that male influence. They can be true gems. This particular guy went on to be a kindergarten teacher in MCPS. Whoever got him is very lucky. He comes from a family of teachers, male and female. Worked his way through college as the preschool teacher.

I find this line of thinking so sad. I hope OP doesn't have boys and I.hope she doesn't pass on to her daughter that all men should be feared as being pedophiles and rapists.

We have a male teacher at our school and he is a lovely, gentle, and caring person. I know him well and he's an invaluable addition to the staff. Don't judge.

Of course I'd be fine with it.

Talk to the director about the bathroom. I bet other parents have asked too. The director can set your mind at ease.

Otherwise, unless you get a bad vibe from this particular guy, I think it would be totally fine.

Please get over this. One of my daughters had a male PK teacher and a male assistant in another grade and my other has had male two daycare staff. They are trained the same and have same education as the women and I've had zero concerns. I like that my daughters and other children don't think teachers are all women, and I like that they see men in caring roles as totally normal.

Would you be ok with your preschool aged daughter having a male teacher? I'm not sure why this is bothering me but it is. If your daughter has a male preschool teacher does the school have a policy on this person taking girls to the bathroom? My daughter would have one female and one male. Thanks.
