If you are familiar with Potomac, but still have to ask, you either already know the answer or don't belong. Buh-bye.

OP,

There are no "old money" neighborhoods in this area, or indeed most areas, nowadays. People here come from all walks of life.

Do you mean lovely, well-maintained old homes in neighborhoods with majestic trees lining the sidewalks, instead of the bare, new, modern houses (fake stone facade in front and siding on three other sides) on lots with spindly little trees?

If so, you can visit Chevy Chase, Kenwood, and Edgemoor (Bethesda).

Bullshitx2. Kenwood was built for cheesy new money types who cared about looking rich. It's never been an 'old money' domain.

If you have to ask where the old money neighborhoods are, your money is too new.

Price is not really an issue, but I don't want to live next to the new money types in Potomac.

Thanks.
