Went from 32 - 34. Probably would have gone to a 35 if DC practiced more in weakest area.

Low-key douchiest comment of the day or what?

Agree except for the low-key part. That was straight up!

We used Capital Educators. DD went up 3 points. She was satisfied.

We hired Private Prep and my DC's ACT scores went up 5 points.

My DC got a 27 on her first ACT (she just treated the real ACT as a practice test. She didn't even know what was on it). This score was still better than her SAT. She got a 31 on her second ACT. She didn't do any prep in between except for a few two-page math lessons in a Math ACT workbook. (She was happy with the second score)

We used an online company and DC took classes on computer. Not insanely expensive! Improved 3 points on first real test and another 3 on 2nd test.

My daughter went from 25 to 28 after taking the course. She also went up about a hundred points combined on the new SAT.

A friend of my daughter's went from 26 on her first time taking the ACT with no prep to 32 after prepping. This is higher than most I think, but not that uncommon for kids like her friend who are smart but get nervous about tests.

Same here OP. My DC went from a 27 to a 32.

2-3 points. More improvement is possible if one subtest is particularly low.

My DC scored a 26 in a practice test. We've just enrolled in those insanely expensive prep programs. What's a realistic bump in the final score? Put another way, how did you DC score on the practice test, and how does that compare with the post-prep final?

Thx.
