I think most well-adjusted people don't think about this all that much OP.

Also, lots of unattractive teens grow up to be good-looking adults and vice versa. Being attractive at 15 isn't necessarily a predictor. I am tall and naturally thin. When I was 15, I was a gangly hot mess and couldn't have paid a boy to date me. As an adult, I'm doing just fine and my high school friend who had giant boobs and had it going on at 15 is a hot mess.

Mine is MUCH better looking than I was as a teen. But she is much LESS good looking than she could be. But she is happy and confident in her looks and that's what matters.

I say nothing negative about her looks unless I think she would want to know (your shirt accidentally tucked into your underpants, there's glue on your ass).

No, as a teen, my parents told me I was ugly. Called me a
"pizza face" when I had acne. Laughed when I bought a purse for homecoming, "you think you are going?"

I turned into a swan.

I think that my kids are reasonably attractive and nice- which makes them even more attractive.

Tantrums and bad mouthing in teenagers is....ewe.

Seriously?

To answer your question, no.

So you think your kids are not good looking?

They are attractive. They are not "the best looking kids." What a concept.

No, my husband's kids are not great looking. He and his ex didn't pair well. Daughter looks exactly like him. He's a good looking man, but the combo for a woman didn't work as well (she's attractive and keeps herself up). He thinks it too.

OP here, I never talk to others about it. Never, ever. I had parents tell me that though, and I just compliment their child as well.

My DD is cute and smart. Not gorgeous. But I will take smart over gorgeous.

Really? If your 15 yr old is still having tantrums, I'd be worried about that.

Or is it just me? Am I delusional? Or is it normal for parents to think that? I mean, I know majority of parents are bias in this regard and I am no different, but I honestly think my 17 year old DS and 15 year old DD are really good looking kids. I have seen other good looking kids and admit that there might be one or two better looking kids. I do admit that my kids aren't perfect in every way, they could be a bit taller. I am aware that they have issues in other aspects, DS badmouths and DD is prone to tantrums, and I am working on that. So, where do you stand on this? Are your teens really good looking to you and are you objective or subjective? Would you admit even to yourself that your teens are not that good looking? Thanks!
