We are likely relocating out of DC after this year and will have to buy another house in new city. I think we're going to hold onto it in case we find a house in our new city before we sell our house here so we can have a downpayment.

The first year at my company (2007), I got a $10,000 bonus. It was great! Spent $3000 on Christmas for nieces and nephews! Some of that was savings bonds, before the "wasteful spending" people get too rowdy. Since then, 0. And every year DH asks me, are you getting a bonus this year?

$2,200 so it paid for Christmas and the last items we're buying for the baby we're expecting, which is very nice. Not the exciting banking or lawyer bonuses I'm sure some DCUM posters can bring in but I'm still grateful for it.

We just got a letter from the IRS that said our 2014 refund was too large and we owe $700 by Christmas. That, combined with my fat $0 holiday bonus from my job puts me at -$700.

So that's cool.

Nothing. And they changed our holiday party from subway sandwiches to a potluck this year. At least they are combining it with a staff meeting so we only have to stay late one day instead of two?
