Biore didn't do anything for my DD. The extractor was the key. And actually washing her face.

Make sure it's not a physical exfoliant of any kind--that actually irritates the skin. Use a cleanser with salicylic acid, like Neutrogena's Acne Wash. Don't scrub too hard. Boil water, turn off the heat, and have him hold his face over the pot with a towel tented over his head to keep the steam in.

Poor kid is very self-conscious about it. This is a new thing, since he likes a girl in his class. Suddenly he is taking the initiative to shower every day without my nagging him and using cetaphil twice a day.

Any tips to remove the blackhead? Does a dermatologist have to do it?
