They feed the calves at South Mountain Creamery at 4 p.m.

Get there by 3:15 or 3:30 and stake out a spot in front of a calf and they'll give you giant bottles of milk to feed them.

It's a hoot. Get ice cream after.

Harpers Ferry is 20-30 min past Frederick if you are into the historic and/or hiking stuff.

The Frederick County historical society has a nice museum, and there is the Nat'l Musueum of Civil War Medicine (also downtown) and Rose Hill Manor (not far from downtown). There are plenty of little shops downtown, art galleries, and good restaurants. Check out the schedule for the Weinberg Center, as there are a number of fun events held there. Definitely try Hooch & Banter for lunch or dinner. I love that place!

I am planning a day trip to Frederick (w/o kids). What is fun to see and do?
