DC had his 7 years ago and we just had the deductible to pay too. Our dentist office was really good about getting precertification for everything.

Appeal. If necessary, get a letter from the anesthesiologist and dentist explaning the need for a general.

I have United. My portion of the medical bill was just my deductible for the hospital. They covered the anesthesiologist. We had the work done at Shady Grove.

My DC had an invasive dental procedure done under general in the OR due to medical condition. Our health insurance covered the facility/OR fees but has denied the anesthesiologist charges because they are for a dental claim. I'm hoping this is just a coding error but it's our first time having to do this. Wouldn't this be a medical expense not dental? It was a regular hospital anesthesiologist.
