Thanks. I've considered Great Wolf Lodge. Heard it was a bit of a ripoff (but then again, most kid-friendly places are). I hate making last-minute vacation plans, but DW's and my work schedules are unpredictable at times. Add that to having to work around public/private school schedules and you have some very small vacation windows.

Looking for some last minute winter break destinations that lend themselves to a family of 4 w/kids 7 & 4. Thought about Liberty (wife & kids would like to learn to ski), but very limited availability and the reviews are terrible in terms of overcrowding, lift lines, etc... (I know how to ski and would be frustrated to no end - I hate waiting in lines - yes, I know I need to wait my turn, but I can't stand people who slow things down for everyone else). Wife and kids don't have passports, and I'd prefer to drive than fly anywhere (flights at this late date would be ridiculous). Skiing is fine, just at a place a little less crowded.
