I guess you haven't visited your friend in a while. I suggest you meet for coffee and French pastries at Voila, across from the north entrance of the Metro. You'll see all the new apartment buildings going up. Watch out for the demolition crew at the Penn-Daw shopping center where the Shoppers Warehouse used to be. It's about to become a retail/living space with new restaurants, grocery, coffee shop, etc. Five years ago, duplexes in Jefferson Manor were going for $350K. Now they're up to $440K.
