The count is not a big deal. Like an audit to make everyone confident that it was done the right way and learn how to do it better in the future

TELL HER SOMETIMES SHE WILL HAVE TO RE COUNT SOMETHING

You are specifically a failure as a parent for creating such anxiety in the mind of your child.

You are a horrible parent in general.

You need to walk this back as much as you can and as fast as possible.

You will still be a disgrace.

Never do this again, because you've proven yourself to be a loser as a political predictor, but more importantly as a parent.

DW says I need to stop paying attention. I guess she's right.

Tell her Green Party always loses and always asks for a recount.

The recount is dumb, but your 6 year old probably doesn't need an explanation about it.

Yup.

OP, I'm the one who called you a sore winner. I have a DD too. Your post is still absurd.

We discussed the election. I never said she read the newspaper and watches the news.

Perhaps explain 'sore winner' to her first.

No, please don't make those accusations against me. People with kids try to impart lessons about picking up your marbles and moving on. That's the broad context in which I'm seeking to address this. I did not vote for Trump, but the never ending election is making me weary.

Yep. It is a cool story, though.

I mean, I spent all this time criticizing Trump for hedging (at best) about accepting the election result ... and now my side (the left) is grasping at straws. We're all a bit hypocritical, but this seems like a bridge too far.
