I almost always use a photo from the summer or fall, so our Christmas card photo is never "Christmas-y." I like the selfie idea, especially with DH away. But it's fine just to sit them on your front steps and snap a few pics. No Santa hats required.

Thank you! Great idea! I will see what they prefer leaves or selfies.

This is a good idea, esspecially since my lazy lawn guy shoved all the leaves into the forest around my backyard, so there are ton of leaves!

Love that!

Alternatively, I just use a good picture of each kid that was taken at some point in the last year. Usually it's from our summer vacation. This year we actually got the whole family in a photo while on vacation so I included that plus better individual pictures of the two kids (age 12 & 13).

I love this idea. Bonus if everyone has Christmas hats.

Santa hats on both. Go to a Christmas tree lot so you get a nice piney background.

This year I would like to send Christmas cards that will include my teens picture. Here is my dilema: Where and how to take a picture. Kids are 17 and 15, boy and a girl, kind of hate each other right now. But, are great kids when not bickering. We are not celebrating Christmas here, so I won't have a Christmas tree. Do I just put like a santa's hat on them and take it in front of the house(it has a nice brick entrance, or do I find some location? If so which one? I would just crop and print at CVS or similar, no fuss printing. No letter or such, I am not into it. DH is working overseas, so I thought it would be best to just have the kids. Any suggestion from pps who are good at this are appreciated. I am completely not artistic. Thanks so much!
