Disagree. My daughter loves them all winter, even inside and she definitely plays outside after school for at least an hour. They also are great for underneath snow pants.

I'm sure it depends on the kid, but it hasn't been a problem for us. DD wears fleece lined leggings (we have the Gymboree and Target ones) almost every day and hasn't been too warm.

Costco has some nice thick ones.

The Childrens Place cozy leggings are not has thick as the Gymboree ones, which are super-fleecy on the inside (at least the pair that we bought.)

We love the cotton tights from Land's End. DD will only wear dresses and skirts, so we have tons of them.

The warm fleece leggings at Gymboree are good. Their quality has gone down but those leggings are warm and thick. They do shrink some in the wash though.

I only shop online and want to buy DD some warm leggings for winter so she can keep wearing the dresses she likes. Any suggestions? I tried buying carter's fleece leggings. They do seem warm and cozy, but they run so big that they fit more like loose pants than leggings. Anyone know about the fit of gymboree fleece leggings?
