We only were there for five days and never left the resort. It's beautiful.

The resort has great food actually - we are not all inclusive types but def worth it here. We have small children and only left the resort a couple of times - taxi to playa del carmen for walking around then dinner and a breakfast in town one day. The resort breakfast is wonderful!

We stayed there a few years ago. I can't be too helpful because we didn't do the all inclusive. It's a beautiful resort, we loved it there!

I'm thinking about taking the family to the Fairmont Mayakoba in Cancun. We're looking at the all-inclusive dining package because it sounds like the resort is too far from Playa del Carmen to venture out for meals.

Has anyone been there? If you did the all-inclusive meal plan, did that work out well? We are not big drinkers but we care about food. The resort restaurant prices look expensive so trying to figure out if all-inclusive makes sense. Did the all-inclusive restrict your ability to eat at the resort's restaurants? Did you have to have reservations? For example, we've stayed at Beaches Turks& Caicos and certain restaurants required reservations and it was somewhat annoying to get into those ones.

Any other tips about the resort? How did you travel to/from the airport? Thanks!
