Yes, no one under 50 though. But its a cute name and a nice sentiment so go for it!

I saw Belladora on an orphanage headstone.

But I'd just use Dorothy.

I love it. The lead on Odd Mom Out's daughter is Dottie.

You could name her Isadora and use Dottie as a nn.

Was your grandmother's name really Dottie on her birth certificate? That seems rare for that time period.

If yes, You can always use it as a middle name and call your DD Dottie. But please give her a full name as her first name. Preferably something less out there than Dottie.

Your baby is going to grow up to be a young woman and she will want to be taken seriously in the workplace.

The only Dottie I know (in her early 30s) is a Dorothy.

I am English and would pronounce it Dottie, however, I have heard the American version of " butter" being budder so am pretty sure Dottie would not be pronounced as its spelled. Doddy maybe......

I know two Dorothys who are both called Dottie. One is 10 and one is 50. I can't imagine giving a kid a nickname as their full name.

Yes. Her name is Dorothy. She's about 38 or 39. Only her sister sometimes calls her Dottie. She hates both her name and her nickname.

Is Dottie too "out there" name wise in today's day and age? Any ways to incorporate Dottie without using Dorothea/Dorothy? D names are hard.
