He left 0. That's the problem. Not solved

Half of zero is zero

Nothing can be divided by zero. Half of zero is error

This is not division by zero. This is dividing 0 by 2, or 0/2 = 0. Dividing by zero (2/0) is undefined. the limit of (2/x) as x approaches 0 (from the positive side) is infinity.

That's why we have separate accounts and our own money. Joint expenses, we both contribute to. Also kept my name and not hers on the house title. Good luck coming after me if we get divorced.

There's nothing that can be done, unfortunately. A joint account means either owner can withdraw anything.

Get a lawyer ASAP and protect any other assets that you might have such as a 401K or anything else. Cancel credit cards etc.

I'm sorry. Close the account. Do not let this happen again.

No lawyer or written agreement yet. Was just a verbal agreement.

We are headed for divorce after addiction, abuse, serial job loss, etc. We agreed on Friday not to take any more money out of our joint account, keep the balance to go toward the mortgage. Silly me believed another lie it seems. Looks like he's withdrawn the account balance of about 1700. Is there zero course since this was a joint account?
Thanks
