This was me. I really wanted to move 'home' to be closer to my family after we had kids. It made me very sad when I'd come home to DH & DC and realize that I was only a part-time part of my family. People were getting together on a regular basis without me, and my child. I'm over it now. But it hurt when I felt our paths diverging.

Subject: Dw gets so sad after coming back from visiting family
My wife is very attached to her family. She gets so sad and depressed for 1-2 weeks or more after her trips. She visits her family every 3 months or so. I'm not sure what to do to comfort her . I see tears in her eyes tonight. She bursts into tears as soon as she gets back.
