the thing is i wouldn't be so sure - it would wipe away a lot of older christians like guidos, irish, polish types that will break for trump.

Omg one of my grandparents came from Italy in 1904. My dad fought in WWII. But I am not American enough for her.

But how does that equate to "you should have 4 grandparents who were born here"? Does she not realize that you can be a naturalized citizen and vote? I think you are trying to find any excuse to reason away her stupidity.
