I'm a preschool teacher who has to battle kids who want to take their gloves off on super cold days! Kids running around for an hour will be just fine in dollar store gloves.
I am the PP who buys the dollar tree gloves. My DD is 4 and we are oustide all year round. We have 2 dogs we take on long walks and she goes to school where they play outside twice day. Those gloves have been fine.
Now she does have a waterproof pair for when it snows but I wouldnt send those to school.

These are a safety hazard. All of the playgrounds in my area have a big sticker with a warning about strings like this, and if you google playground safety and mitten strings you will see a bunch of guidelines (sorry I don't have time to post links).

I just buy about 4 or 5 pairs from the dollar tree per season then im not too stressed if a pair get left at school, in the car, or at a friends.
On a side not I also have 3 pairs of kitchen scissors because I hate looking for them.

I've seen "mitten clips" on Amazon that attach mittens to coat sleeves. Otherwise, just tie a string between each mitten and run it through the sleeves.

I would like some with the string that connects the two mittens, that you thread through the sleeves, so the mittens/gloves are more difficult to lose.
