Occasionally we do but mostly one of us gets me time while the other chauffeurs. The exception is soccer games, to which we both go.

We don't, didn't. But if you'd like it why don't you ask your do to go with you to get a cup of coffee during the practice or whatever and make it a date? Or just ask for once a week. Something so he knows you want to spend some time with him.

We did with our first, because the experiences were new to all of us. Also, they were parent participation. Then, when we had three (and four) very little ones, we did music class together on the weekend.

Now, when there's no parent participation part, we split up for the most part. My oldest son played flag football for a few weeks, and for practices, one parent went (it was only an hour, so not reasonable to come back home during), and for the three games, the whole family went to 2, and mom only went to 1.

+1 I got dropped off at gymnastics in Saturday morning, dad came back and picked me up, we had lunch together and then ran to the grocery store. It was our time together every week. My brother got dad on Sundays in a similar set up. Maybe you should look at that one on one opportunity instead of being envious that other couples do everything together.

Kids are 3 & 5. The only activity we're home for is ice skating and both go at the same time. DH and I both go. We don't drop off because of how young they are but also because shoes have been stolen a few times.

No, not even when we had one. But with three, not a chance. Games? Yes. But again, with three kids that doesn't work out very often. It's a chance for one to run errands or do things at home.

For an hour practice or lesson it hardly makes sense leave and come back. Even grocery shopping during DD's 45 min ballet class is a stretch unless I needn't one or two things.

Is it a practice or a game? We drop off for practices but often go together for games. It's fun.

+1. My parents were never at any of my practices. But it's the age of the helicopter mom. God forbid little Johnny get reprimanded or not enough attention, they have to be there to bitch to the coach.

We go together to socialize with other parents.

We split it up unless it is a significant event. Somebody needs to do laundry or mow lawn or get cars serviced.
