We love our EOTP dual-language school, but wish the bridge could be broken between the two parent groups. That's really the only set-back for us, but we are making it work.

What are your complaints?

OP, I mean this as nicely as I can...you just just cut bait and move. Stick with your guy feeling on this. Some families are game for the ups and downs and others are not. That's totally fine.

Just because a school is thought to be great doesn't mean it's a fit for your little one and your family. Collect your thoughts and list the issues and maybe there are recommendations. Moving to the suburbs may not solve your issues. I know a few families that believed that only to be disappointed.

We lotteried into west of the park DCPS. It's pretty damn good. The schools are very different, but each one has positives. There are negatives, but so far we're managing.

Maybe you could be specific about what your complaints are with your HRCS and why your IB school is a non-starter. That way you'll get more substantial assistance and less mockery.

I feel like it's a constant struggle at our EOTP DCPS, but the principal and teachers have been willing to accommodate and work with us on improving things. Today, I feel like we're in a good place, but most of the time it's a struggle.

Hate is a strong word - can you give us more information?

Are you just venting on your way out the door, or do you want recommendations for other schools?

If the latter, it may help to name the school; otherwise you may be getting recs for the very school you're leaving. Will also help to know what you didn't like and what you're looking for.
