Often enough that we wouldn't get rid of them. Heck, his high school age brother and his friends will sometimes start building with them too.

My 14 year old nephew still plays with logos. He is really into Lego brick fairs and things like that. He has no interest in sports and is socially awkward so it seems to be a good outlet for him.

I have 12 year old twin boys. One is only interested in sports these days but the other has never met a toy he didn't love. He still plays with legos and darn near any other toy he can get his hands on. Unloading old toys is difficult because I can't let him see me getting rid of them. He plays with legos alone, though. When he's with his friends they are doing other things together.

My observation is that some kids are done at that age and some aren't. You can always ask him if he's done.

Every kid's interests are different, but I'd say if something's been collecting dust for 2 years, the odds of it regaining popularity are slim. But so far I only have experience with a younger kid so 2 years has meant much bigger changes than with your child.

She's never had Legos, so no. But she gave away her Littlest Pet Shop things in sixth grade, which she played with for a solid 6 or so years.

I'd keep them around because you might find they can be used in a project or when friends with younger kids come over. When thrown in a bin they don't take up much room.

My 12 year old lost interest about 2 years ago, but I held off on donating them since I didn't know if the interest would come back.

Does your tween play with legos when they're in a group of kids who are or has that by the way side too? TIA.
