Again, remember that you get two votes.

Doesn't mean you have to use both. If someone wins but with a low vote count, at least that sends a small message.

Historically the second place cantidate gets fewer votes than the under vote because people don't realize they get two votes. So, I expect Grosso to get a low vote count regardless.

Grosso had a prioritized list based on objective measures. He's very proud of that.
But the actual order that schools are being modernized does not follow that order. Because it's still politics. I'd have more respect for Grosso if he didn't pretend hid objective list was such a success.

But as Jeff pointed out, he's better than anyone else on the list (I'm already voting for Robert White anyway. It's not like it's going to be much of a contest.

While you may have a specific bone to pick with Grosso -- and if your school is Shepherd I have sympathy for you -- Grosso is still heads and shoulders better than the alternatives. Grosso has made a sincere effort to remove politics from the school modernization process. I can't say that his efforts have always been perfect, but at least he has been attempting to address a real problem and has made significant progress. Beyond that, considering the current make-up of the Council (which to be sure has a number of great members), who is better prepared to lead the Education Committee?

Same with ours! I feel like it was all politics since we were highly ranked on his list but still got delayed.

But who else is there? The rest seem even worse.

To tell you the truth, there is not a whole lot of choice. Luckily, among the choices are two very good candidates: Robert White and David Grosso.

Remember that you get two votes.

Am at a DCI Feeder and also live on Capitol Hill and I care about having both good charter and IB middle school options in a few years. Who should I vote for and why?

TIA!
