Plus pregnancy can send hormones into overdrive, which is, of course, appealing to men who enjoy women who are enthusiastic about sex and multiorgasmic.

Are you worried at all about STDs at this particularly sensitive time? For instance, Herpes can be contracted even with condom use and an outbreak while pregnant could affect your delivery options.

Yes, I did.

When I was in grad school I was FWB with a married woman about 6 years older than me. Her husband knew about me and was OK with the situation (he had his own FWB). She got pregnant via her husband and told me that she preferred to not see me until after the kid was born. She ended up contacting me around 5 months into her pregnancy and wanting to fool around. I think she had promised her husband not to have sex with me while pregnant, but the pregnancy hormones got the best of her. Also, she mentioned that her husband thought pregnancy sex was "gross" and "wrong," so she was pretty bitter about that. We had sex 4 or 5 times during her pregnancy up until 2 weeks before labor. She was insatiable and very orgasmic. She appreciated that I was into it (a totally new experience for me!)

She and hubby divorced a few years later. Now happily co-parenting.

Considering that she has someone else's child inside her, that's super weird.

Are you turned on by the thought of a baby being there while you have sex or by the thought that another man ejaculated there before you arrived?

I am seriously trying to understand.

Certainly not the former. Gross. A touch of the latter, but really it is more that the physical appearance can be attractive in its own right. Appealing in a different way. Its certainly all bound up in ideas of fertility and sexuality.

I appreciate your candor even if I find it gross. I get that a pregnant body can be sexy, but it sounds like you also have some latent homosexuality/cuckhold issues in play here.

I'm not quite seeing the homosexual angle, it seems to me that finding a woman's fertility attractive is about as hetero as it gets. As for cuckoldry, I've always thought about that as principally being about getting off on betrayal/humiliation, which is really not my thing.

The question was asked, and it was answered. No need to be an ass.

Based on my aunt's experiences at as a labor and delivery nurse for 19 years and counting in a number of American hospitals, I would say the answer is yes for a good percentage of men.

My aunt regales me all the time with tales of patients who deliver with the support of active, concerned boyfriends who are not the father (and know they are not the father). She finds it scandalous and typical of American depravity that it is actually fairly common in America for a man to take up with a woman pregnant with another man's child (we are immigrants).
