Thanks for the responses. We've been using condoms and skipping trying until blood test returns. My OB was 50/50 on the subject. She said if he showed no symptoms he's probably fine. I told her that I read that he could be asymptomatic and she was like "you're right- best not to chance it". SMH!

Have you had sex since he returned? If so, you already could be infected even if it wasn't your fertile time. Was he outside a lot? Did he wear bug spray? Did he see a lot of mosquitos? Chances are probably quite low he's infected.

If he feels fine, I'd go for it.

What does your OB say?

I would wait.

I'd go for it - odds are so low

I would wait for blood work.

Hi all,

Needing some advise. I am trying for my first baby at a tender age of 41. We're going into our 4th month.

Here's the issue:

My Other half had to travel to a second level Zika country a few weeks ago to visit his dying father. He was there for over 10 days. Although he shows zero symptoms and claims that he's fine, not sure if we should attempt to try until after his bloodwork, but I feel a missed opportunity this month. I feel like chancing it though because he appears fine. AM I nuts or just hormonal because I am ovulating this week? Ugh!
