My son didn't start pointing until 13 months.

No, it's not a milestone. It is one indicia of joint attention/communication skills. It's not like "Oh, kid can point, no autism here!"

Teach the kid how to point if it concerns you so much.

This isn't true. It is a milestone, but it's not considered delayed until 18 months. Definitely nothing to worry about at 10 months or even a year for that matter.

Not at all based on what you've said here.

My 11 month old is not doing any of the things you mentioned. But he is very socially engaged and I haven't thought to be worried. None of those things are expected at 10 months.

10 months is early for pointing, saying words, clapping. Check out this questionnaire, which is used to screen for developmental delays: https://www.abingtonhealth.org/app/files/public/4205/FPUD_ASQ-10-mos.pdf

My 10month old does not point. My friends whose daughter is a month younger than mine was surprised that my daughter wasn't pointing since hers has been for awhile. I asked another friends with an 11month old and she confirmed her son does point. She can wave, clap, shows up toys, can say "mama, dada and hi" babbles a lot. She is not walking yet, doesn't know any baby sign language even though we have tried, and throws huge tantrums when told no. She also is a bit aggresivie she hits and pinches when upset and we are showing her "soft touches" but not much success. Do I need to be concerned with her development?
