Lots of threads on this if you do a search. But I don't think you're going to do better than 1% unless you put it in the market.

We were planning to move this summer but didn't due to various reasons. We may just stay in our current home and not move at all. Our 500k is earning like .5% in our online savings account.
Where would you put it if you may need access to it within 6 months?
