I have a cervical memory foam pillow from Brookstone. I've had it for years. It has been great for my TMJ/night grinding issues. I put it in a dust mite zippered case and then put a regular pillow case around it and have had it for years and years. Likely 15 years, of nightly use.

I actually told our kids never to hit anyone with that pillow.

I read somewhere that you should replace pillows every two years. But I still have some that are 15 years old. I wonder how much it really matters if they're still comfy? Or if you can wash them?

Huh. I've had the same pillows for a good 16 years now. I bought them at Bed Bath & Beyond. I bought two that were one step up from the absolute cheapest ones.

If you are looking for a good, firm pillow that keeps its shape, DH bought this pillow at Costco called "Panda." It is amazing.

About 20 years ago I saw one of those scare tv shows about the number of dustmites in your pillows after a certain amount of time. I don't know if it's true but I buy the cheapest ones at Target and get new ones every year.

Dh invested in a $150 pillow 1.5 years ago. I thought it was a waste until I was out looking to buy my 3rd pillow in the same amount of time...

We bought a new mattress at (used to be Sleepy's, forget new name). We tried out different pillows while there because they had a variety available. Neither of us expected to buy a pillow that day but we both ended up taking one home.

They were not cheap, but we have cycled through a lot of pillows that we thought we would like but didn't, so it was worth it.

Definitely consider checking out mattress stores to try out pillows! You can try them out on a bed so get a better idea of how comfortable they are than if you buy online or Target, etc.

Get better-quality pillows. It's worth it.

Google it and you'll find that most reviews are negative, as in real bad.
I haven't tried a My Pillow, but apparently the marketing is better than the product.

I invest in high quality near $100 pillows. I love them. I think it's completely worth it. They need replacing every 2-3 years too.

It seems like I am replacing my bed pillows every 2 years. They just get flat. I like firm non-fluffy pillows. I usually get them at Target. Is that my problem? Or do pillows just need replacing every 2 years?
