there is no majority in MCPS schools.

what real world? the world without affirmative action? we are going to change that, starting from education and public sectors, the private companies are catching up. One step at a time, sis!

Wait... So your concern here is that minorities will be unprepared? Do you think getting enrichment locally is affirmative action into college or employment?

There was a test to get into the pool... Take the test and you are in the pool to be considered.

What happens if we all want to send our kids to Whitman and Churchill?


They will get overcrowded and the Whitman and Churchill families will flee to private schools.

No holistic factor. It's just that now the school will select who gets tested instead of the parents filling out a form to indicate they want their child tested.

Have you not been paying attention?!?! Of course they are changing it.

As far as the not a good sign post...

It looks like NO TEST AT ALL will be given initially unlike in the past. Being added to the pool with consist of in class performance and MAP performance.

After are in the pool and want to continue with the process there is a survey (currently there's also a survey) and an online assessment. The online assessment is probably the same assessment they have been using.
