I always look at flights.google and the Southwest

I use kayak or Google flights. I think they are all the same, just which browser you prefer. Southwest doesn't show up in search engines, and I think JetBlue too so I sometimes check those. Spirit is cheap and can be worth it, but make sure you factor in all the extra fees.

The Hopper app. They use historical data to tell you the likelihood of price increase/decrease

If you're going somewhere that Spirit Air flies, I've found that the company site has the best fares.

I think they're all the same, really. I've been using Expedia for years, but that's because I always found the same fares at other sites.

My trick is to do research as a guest on one machine, find the flight numbers I want and then log in to buy on another. Once the site tracks you looking at a trip, the fares start creeping up. Or you'll get to the point where you pull out your credit card and suddenly the price has changed.

One thing to be careful of when booking flights with kids on travel sites: you may have to go directly to the airline to reserve seats next to each other.

With small kids, I haven't flown in a while and I feel like there must be better website options to browse fares than what I used to use (Kayak). Any suggestions?
