Teacher here. Actually no parent is allowed to confront a child that isn't their own in a derogatory or threatening way on school property. It's grounds for serious action. Admin. should be notified.

I believe you report him to the principal, tell the child's parents and insist that he n be allowed on school grounds permanently. Tell the other parent you'll call the police if you ever see him do this again and get a video!

If you let the school know what happened and you are not the parent of the child who was called a name, there's nothing else for you to do.

There's not much they can do and they probably can't or shouldn't really share with you what they are doing.
Has it happened again? Is there some reason he would come in contact with your child? If it's because your kids are in the same class request your child is moved.

Wasn't my child...
Let's just say it was a derogatory term for female genitalia and the child is male, which only matters here because the use of the term seems like a clear attempt to emasculate the child. That being said, it's not totally clear the child understood the term fully. He was more terrified by the manner of the delivery.

Wondering what responsibility a school has if a parent name-calls and bullies a child (not his own) at the school one day in an intimidating enough way to seriously scare the child?
What actions should the school take? Especially if the parent freely admits he name-called the child and has been unwilling to apologize to the child and/or the child's family?
