My son goes to Wilson and has had a great experience. But there's no way I can tell you anything about TC Williams.

Chic-fil-A opened their doors back b/c they were losing too much business. I hear kids curse all over so it doesn't surprise me. My good friend from Reston talked about his son's weed problem and the fact that all kids at his son's school are weed heads.

Excuse you. Wilson doesn't have an issue with kids bringing weapons and the kids are very well behaved. Most of the issues have been from kids who don't attend Wilson. You have clearly never hung out at Wilson. I believed these falsehoods too until my kid enrolled. My husband and I can't believe our good fortune. We love it.

The kids at TC Williams are better behaved than those at Wilson. You don't have the same frequency of kids bringing weapons to school or fighting in nearby neighborhoods.

You just don't see pregnant girls at Wilson. I think as the demographics change, it's just not something you see. I'm not talking about race, but HHI.

New Heights is a DCPS program, located in most high schools, that supports expectant and parenting teens (moms and dads) to stay in school, graduate, gain parenting skills, and continue to meet their post graduate education and job training goals. TC Williams? oh no don't move all the way to Alexandria for TC. They have a daycare on site with about 100 kids born to current teenage HS students. I'd take Wilson any day

In my experience they're fairly comparable.

Does anyone know how TC Williams compares to Wilson high school? I'm trying to weigh if a move to Alexandria would offer higher quality public schools at all levels or if I might as well stay in DC which I would prefer. Thanks for any insight you can provide.
