I wonder if its to prevent kids from wearing secret headphones and listening to music during class.

OR-- hoodies are like hats--- you take them off in class/at school.

Back to the OP's question - No, hoodies are not an issue at my child's non-uniform school.

Or Miss Richie Rich, go buy some non hoods for the whole school. Discounts for large orders.

Hope your little childish name calling made you feel better. You know nothing about me or my motives. I was asking a question and seeing if anyone had input on why they made a unilateral decision without talking to the parents.
You clearly have a different narrative going on in you head and I'm sorry if my posts were interpreted as anything other than that.

This poster sounds like they're being flip, but the policy almost certainly has to do with bias.

If you google PGCPS and hoodies you will see it is in the uniform guides for the uniform schools.

So when did the policy banning hoodies in uniform schools take effect? It is super annoying and I can't imagine why hoodies would be an instructional problem, especially in Elementary Schools.
Are hoodies permitted in non-uniform schools?

I know it seems trivial but I bought my K and 3rd graders fleece hoodies for this year only to find out that they can't wear them to school. Not a huge deal for me but for someone on a more limited income it could be.
