Why are you contacting the school? It happened outside of school at your personal residence. I'd ask the girls' parents if they know about it and may ask the police how to proceed, but schools aren't responsible for everything relating to our children.

I would share it with the principal. At a minimum, that boy needs some support and the school should know what's going on.

"I'm going to kill you" is not ever funny.
Show it to both principal and aftercare and perhaps girls' parents.
Who knows where it came from, but it should be on file and perhaps a lesson at aftercare to the kids about not saying, writing, drawing, etc mean, inappropriate things.

I would contact the principal and have him or her ask this boy whether he sent the message or not. He will not lie easily in front of the principal.

I want to ask you for an opinion on what to do next.

We returned from a cub scout meeting last night a found a note written on construction paper on the porch floor. It has an illustration of a dog's face. It also has an illustration of a boy's face and a girl's face that seem to be with exaggerated lips (kissing).
Then the messages says:
to: 3 kids names (1 boy's name which is my son and 2 girls names which are the neighbors)
from: a boy's name.
The message is not nice: It says I am going to kill you, (my son's name). I won't kill the girls because girls are better than boys.

My son is in the 1st grade. He suspect this is a boy from the 2nd grade, who knows the girls or share the class with that boy. The girls are our neighbors. My boy see these girls as his sister and he says it often too. There isn't a boy with that name on our street. He sees this boy sometime in the aftercare.
What should I do? I don't know who this boy is and this name is common so I've heard his name before. There are other boys with this same name. Report to the principal? the aftercare folks? I haven't had a chance to talk to the neighborhood girls yet and it's likely they dropped it off. Maybe they think it's funny. It isn't to me.

What would you do? Thank you.
