Of course, that's because of your white privilege.

I prefer "white."

As a white person I do not care what people call me, even Cracker if they want to. I do not care. I am not defined by my race but by my actions and beliefs.

I am white/jewish. Though as I get older, I am becoming polka dotted.

Oh all these poor Caucasian/European American people who have been oppressed and discriminated against finally have a chance to say what their preferences are!

White. Caucasian comes from the same racial pseudo-science that gave us the term Negroid, and grouped races in a hierarchy of ability. Those outdated terms should not be used today unless you are talking about the history of race.

I strongly prefer white. My family did not come from the Caucasus. But I feel this way because I'm a sociologist who has thought a fair bit about race. I mostly feel that Caucasian is an antiquated term that is imprecise. I think people use it because they feel some need for extra syllables. African American has seven syllables so it feels odd to use a one syllable word for white people. But I don't think most whites care one way or another.

I don't really care. At all. I don't even care if you call me Cracker. It truly doesn't hurt my feelings one bit.
