All you weirdos writing in Obama and Bernie -- you're narcissistic nutcases who think your personal ego feelings (***I*** preferred Bernie! No way am ***I*** going to compromise my deep personal beliefs!) are more important than the actual outcome of the election. Fine, but then own it. The way you feel about YOURSELF is more important than the impact this election, and specifically a Trump presidency, could have on OTHERS.

Shame on all you people who will vote for third party and leave a possibility of President Donald J. Trump.

Seriously. WTF? Just because certain people on the right have made a cottage industry of vilifying Hillary doesn't make it true. But, hey, if you repeat a story enough (she's crooked!) apparently some morons will buy it.

I am tired all of the scare tactics around voting for a 3rd party.

Vote for the candidate that represents your views. That is what democracy is all about.

If you want to compromise and vote for one of the two idiots, then that is fine too. I just don't like it when you criticize someone who wants to vote for their convictions. Trust me, if a third party starts getting 15%-20%, that is sending a message to the two parties and it might be the start of something bigger down the line...

Even though neither Democrats or Republicans have appealed to me in recent years, Bernie is a guy that I respect. Basically, in my case if I do vote, then it will be a vote for the individual who I think is less evil. Just the thought of either one of these monsters being the president of The United States makes me want to vomit. I'm sad, disgusted, and scared about this election. It's like a real life horror film where you have to choose rather you want to be bit by a snake or attack by a wolf.

A 3rd party vote is basically a vote away from one of the lesser of two evils, which means a vote for the more evil one. I agree that neither of the two are great candidates, but if you don't vote for one, it's a de facto vote for the other.

It all balances out then. An R who hates both votes third party. A D who hates both votes third party. They cancel out each other.

It all depends on how many people actually go out and vote.

period

And in this election you don't know b/c so many people are quiet Trump supporters
.

which makes it more important to not vote 3rd party.

My son and his friends were on the (never-Hillary) Bernie bandwagon and now plan to vote for Hillary learning about her and Trump's policies more. They still not too excited, but feel they need to vote and vote a sane candidate.

There is another alternative, like voting for the one Obama and Bernie are campaigning for since they think that candidate is closer to their policies...
