They spray at resorts, so that's your best bet. They are spraying everywhere in south Florida, so much so that residents are complaining about the chemicals.

Are you pregnant or young enough for that to be a possibility? I in my 40s, and we are planning to go to the Caribbean or south Florida for spring break. I'm going to Miami on business in February, and I'll report back. I was in Miami last October, and I wasn't bitten. I was mostly downtown and by the water (not out in the burbs where I believe the mosquitoes are).

I'm currently pregnant and DH went to Miami 2 weeks ago for 2 days. He didn't go to the pool or beach, just his conference and restaurants. No bug bites. he came home and got 4 mosquito bites in VA at a park.

Yes, and also not swimmable then. It's basically parallel to the Outer Banks.

They probably spray the heck out of those resorts. Also anywhere on the water with a good constant breeze will have less mosquitos. You could always look into Bermuda, not sure about the Zika situation there.

Would like to go away mid-April to somewhere warm and doesn't have Zika. Want a location with good kids club. Would like to do Atlantis but Bahamas has Zika.

Can you recommend places warm enough to swim with no zika?

Has anyone been to the Bahamas recently? How is mosquito control there?
