4 months for DD1, 5 months for DD2. DD1 had a tough transition but certainly would have had a tough transition at any age. It was much, much worse transitioning her from the infant room at daycare to the toddler room.

6 weeks for all three. They are little blobs at that age. They aren't missing you

6 months part time, 7.5 months at full time. She's doing great there thankfully!

14 weeks at a small in home daycare. Love the home environment & age mix of kids. Provider is former teacher and does preschool curriculum starting at age 2

OP, how old is your child? I would do it at 2-3 as the longer you wait, the harder the transition may be. Its not a competition and do what is best for your child. A nanny is great when they are little but many kids thrive at "school."

Most kids I know started at 12 weeks. Mine will start then too. She's so little though!

home daycare- 2 months old. Two months is so little! For the next child I want to wait longer- like 6 months if we can afford it.

My oldest was almost 6 months, but I was lucky to be able to take the time off. I'm currently staying home and my youngest will go to daycare/preschool next year when she's 2.5 years old. I have plenty of friends though whose children started daycare at 8-12 weeks old and all was okay. Most are now thriving 4-5 year olds.
