In my neighborhood, parents of elementary school students regularly park in front of the fire hydrants near school and walk to the front to get their kid. (a couple hundred yards). They inevitably end up taking 10-20 minutes to get their kid, meanwhile blocking access to the hydrants. This is illegal and dangerous in case of fire. Please don't do this - yes, you might need to walk a block or so out of the way to get your kid. Thank you!
