When I told her we were just starting our search and contemplating many options, she said "well we already have applications in for next year so..." as if she was saying I needed to hurry up and decide. The open house was in early November so I had a little time to make a decision. Didn't like that she was rushing me.

Fast forward a week or so, she called to follow up about whether we were going to apply. She kept talking about how they are the best school in the area and we won't find better. Seemed kind of abrasive to me but I understand their goal is to get applicants. I appreciated the follow up and took the time to ask questions. She offered to waive the application fee if we decided to apply. I thanked her and moved on.

A few days later, I sent her a Follow Up email saying that we would like to apply and I would be interested in the app fee waiver. No response. Called. Left a message. No response. I emailed again. She responds and says they don't offer app fee waivers. I'm like well, you offered it to me via our telephone conversation. No response. Emailed again. No response. I was done at that point. Decided to apply elsewhere and so far, two acceptances.

I would caution you not to judge an Admissions Director too harshly during admissions season (in terms of email responsiveness). They are bombarded with emails everyday and sometimes it is difficult to get back to everyone. Maybe she didn't remember what she offered or maybe she hasn't gotten to your email yet. You should judge the school based on the curriculum it offers, the contentment of its faculty and staff, and its reputation for graduating successful children. Other posts on this board about Holy Trinity are right. It is pretty much among the top three independent/private schools in the area. You will have virtually no contact with Admissions once your child is there.

I think it is the same person. Our experience with her was good. She answered questions pretty quickly, assessments and everything were easy to schedule and my documents were submitted in advanced. Every experience is definitely different.

Tell us! What happened? Do you think she stretched the truth, or did she say something would be offered and it is not?

How so? Also, this isn't the first time I have heard of her completely ignoring people...

My daughter is there now in 1st grade and we like it. Our daughter's teacher is new to the school, but has taught at other schools that use the same curriculum. This is our first year at HT. We did not consider for kindergarten. You may want to consider St. Matthews for kindergarten. We really liked it.
