I am pretty lean - about 120 lbs and 5'5"-5'6". Does your RE recommend gaining weight to increase the LH? I can't tell if they think the problem is high FSH or low LH...

I have almost the same numbers - fsh- 6; Lh- 2.6
Are you lean? I am and my RE said my low Lh could reflect that

My RE didn't say anything about the e2, only that the ratio of FSH to LH was high and so he thought I should try Clomid. I don't really understand why the ratio is a problem if the individual numbers are all in the normal range, or how the Clomid will work to improve things.

Your E2 is slightly high and may be suppressing your FSH. Did they also do a AFC or AMH? I had similar numbers and was doing an IVF cycle and it was cancelled due to poor response (assuming it was just a bad protocol).

That being said, I would be fine doing Clomid, you could also just do a IUI (with no meds).

You could also talk to your doc about Femara which has a lower incidence of multiple births (half the risk of clomid). We were worried about multiples and our RE at shady grove prescribed that...

OP. My levels were:

FSH: 6.2
LH: 2.0
E2: 56.1

Which doesn't seem bad except the ratio of FSH to LH, so I'm wondering if Clomid is really necessary. We are open to twins but not triplets, but we'd strongly prefer just one.

Are you open to the possibility of twins or triplets?

Just got these day 3 results but without much explanation for what they mean. Was told to try Clomid next cycle. I'm 35 with two kids already. Do I really need clomid? Anyone else have similar profile, and if so, what happened? Thanks.
