Totally agree. I don't care about the screwed up part, but the spiritual guru schtick is nauseating and the attention whoring is OTT.

Although I suppose it's just sour grapes on my part. I'm a bit of a fuckup and can't imagine putting a spotlight on the gory details and considering it a victory for my authentic self.

I actually liked Eat, Pray, Love...but I am surprised she suddenly says she is in love with her long term friend, after two marriages to men. It does seem strange. On the other hand, I have had bipolar risk taking friends do equally surprising things and change their sexuality over night, so I know it can happen.

I read two pages of her book and found her insufferably self-centered. She appears to have not changed.

I have no issue with her announcement, she's obviously chosen to share her life via her art. My question is, how did she not know this earlier? It seems to me if you are in love with someone you are also physically attracted to them.

I saw her post on FB yesterday.....

Not really sure what to make of it. Seems kind of contrived. I feel very sad for her friend.

I'm not sure if I completely expected this from her or if I'm shocked. She seems so contrived as is, and I hated Eat, Love, Pray.
