My mother wrote in my sister's BABY BOOK where and when my sister was conceived and why exactly she was absolutely sure of the timing and location of conception. In her defense, her own MIL had given her the same run down of where and when each of HER children were conceived, including my father.

Please god give me a better filter with my own children and their spouses.

My MIL got angry and didn't speak to one of her sons because he wouldn't let her name his new baby. Really, people! Get a clue!

My husband comes from a family with all male children. When I first met my MIL, she had a lot of pent up things she wanted to share with a daughter. Including details of how the texture of her period changed throughout her life and how alarming it was. I am not a doctor. She also said these things in hushed tones (the men were in a different room), so she realized it wasn't information for general sharing. The complete lack of boundaries continues to this day. Sometimes I can't tell if she's serious or just trying to see how much I will put up with.

It's likely she thought you were joking when you said "no," because married couples don't typically have sex at their grandparents' parties. Without the door locked, at that.

She did knock, so there are boundaries.

Why were you having sex the grandparent's house during a party?

this is a spin off from the house guest S/O and one of the posters says that she just walks in on guests because it is "her house".

This just happened 3 weeks ago. DH and I were at his grandparents home for the weekend. They were having a party for his brother on one of the days we were there. So anyway, Dh's aunt lives on the same block as his parents and she comes over to the house often. She is a really funny and generally cool lady but I don't think she has boundaries! DH and I were in the bedroom with the door closed and she knocked and said "Are ya decent?" and DH said "no, out in a minute" and she opened the door and came in. She didn't see anything too graphic, but let's say she killed the mood. I love her to death, but she doesn't respect privacy!
