Another thread suggested this may happen when you don't submit a lot of embryos for testing. This was the case for me, so maybe this is the reason. I'm wondering, though, what happens if you keep sending in embryos. At what point as you get closer to 12 do they decide to go ahead and collect the additional $1000?
I paid $2000 for the testing (up to 12 embryos) plus the clinic charged a $1500 biopsy fee on top of that... Maybe they originally quotes you for the testing fee plus the biopsy fee?
