But in all seriousness, i am glad you all can now see what !@#?@!# I had to put up with for 20 years living in DC and trying to find a professional date that didnt have his head up his arse worse that if I were dating someone without an education. DC is dating hell and I am glad to read your post to let the world know. There wasn't internet in my dating years, but this speaks to my experience 1000 percent.

I doubt he's really expecting the money but he's obviously really pissed off over being stood up. Put yourself in his shoes. You made him feel like a fool. I hope that was a real emergency that you didn't think to call off the date. Of course you don't pay him, but obviously he's mad as hell and I probably would be, too if I were him.

Guess he won't be getting any.

I met a guy online. He seems nice but I was reluctant to meet him. I finally agreed to a date but an emergency came up and I forgot to let him know. He was pretty mad and said he waited over an hour ( he ate lunch). He's a lawyer and said since I stood him up, I owe him $550 ( client hourly rate) for his time. He wants me to meet him with cash. I think this is ridiculous.
