Do they hang out together otherwise? Are they frequently in touch? I find this invitation very odd and would not be comfortable with it. I'd try to find out from him why he is interested in doing this. As PP said, they both need other friends.

Subject line says it all. My finance's ex texted him and asked if he'd go in a bike trip with her. He told me tonight and said that he wouldn't go if I had a problem with it. I think they would do day long bike trips for a couple of days so no overnights. We have a two month old daughter. I was not invited by the girlfriend (I'm not an athlete so even if I had been invited I wouldn't go) and she knows about me and our daughter. The ex is single and has a six month old baby from a sperm donor.
