We have the same. I don't think it's held up badly. We've used constantly for 4 years now and there are a few chips on the bowls, plates. But the stuff is so inexpensive I don't really care. Easy to replace and, IMO, looks as nice as the more expensive Crate and Barrel sets.

NP who also loves my Corelle. All of my pieces are perfectly circular--very clean and classic-looking. Maybe you're not looking at the right lines?

Corelle is made of tempered glass. Perhaps you're thinking of melamine?

Do you happen to know which product line you have? CB is on my list because I picked up some huge pasta bowls from them years ago and still love them. Use them for pasta, rice bowls, noodles salads, even serving... But I think the line must have been discontinued because I can't find them anymore.

Fiestaware

I like my plain white Corelle.

We got our plain white, everyday dishes at Crate and Barrel shortly after marriage 10 years ago. I think one of them may have a chip in it, but otherwise they look the same way they did when we picked them out in the store.

We have Villeroy and Boch Anmut and love it. Plain white bone china that we use everyday - 6 years now. Very light weight, none have broken, no chips, no etching. You can usually find it on sale at Bloomingdale's.

Looking for a forever set of basic, white dinnerware. Does anybody have a set they love? Priorities are:

-not too heavy (current plates weigh a ton and I hate that)
-not too delicate: not prone to chipping, can be casually put into sink without worrying
-dishwasher safe
-basic, clean; neither too modern not too old-fashioned: no metallic rim or other design that can wear over time
-white, not creamy or yellowish

My list of vendors to check out includes Crate and Barrel, Fishs Eddy... I looked at Williams-Sonoma, but everything there was either too old-fashioned or too heavy.
