A few months for us when DS had just turned 3. But nearly a year later he "adjusted" literally on the first day - no tears, no drama, just "have a great day, mom!" when I left. Not sure if the difference was due to the age or the preschool or what!

Mine took about two months. Then after winter break, spring break, took a few more weeks

It's kid dependent; Some adjust in a day, some a week, some a month.
