Of course she would know when she woke up. Being raped while unconscious is an act of violence that leaves bruises and pain. He didn't gently make love to her on her wedding night.

The jail time is pretty immaterial - the sex offender register is a big deal. That is his punishment.
I wonder how long before some judge decides its too hard for him to live on the sex offender registry and suspends that sentence, too?
